As you have read from our previous newsletters there is a constant need for dog food at Tg-Jiu shelter and we also still need help to build a new shelter for Dona and her filly Daria.

PAFi and supporters have collected dog food for the dogs at Tg-Jiu shelter

We received an opportunity to transport 4000-5000 kg of dog food to the shelter for a reasonable price on October 24th. Of course we decided to take up on the offer. At first the day of transport was October 30th but since the schedule was quite tight for us to collect 4-5 tons of food in less than five days, we managed to negotiate an extra week. Less than two weeks we collect near 4000 kg of quality dog food for the shelter and 500 kg of horse grain for Dona and Daria. I’m so grateful for you, dear friends, for this wonderful accomplishment, I simply have no words. You can read about the project in PAFi forum.

With 4000 kg of quality dog food we are able to feed the dogs of the shelter for a month and half.

We are gratefully for donations which cover the transportation costs, 1600 euros.

Our plan is to deliver next 4000 kilos of dog food to the shelter in January 2010.

New shelter for Dona and Daria

New stall for Dona and Daria is under construction and below you can see photos of the building process. The costs of the shelter are 1500 euros and we are happily accepting donations to cover these costs. On 23rd of November we had collected 677,50 euros for stable costs.

Food donations for next year

It’s very likely that the food donations provided by Brigitte Bardot Foundation for Tg-Jiu shelter will discontinue in a few months. That’s why we are trying to prepare already now for the fact that PAFi will be the only one who will continue to support Pro Animals Romania and the shelter they are running.

PAFi has a new nationwide money collection licence granted by the State Provincial Office of Southern Finland. The licence will be valid from November 11th 2009 to October 30th 2011, our bank account is the same old IBAN: FI08 5045 0620 0918 15, SWIFT: OKOYFIHH. If you add a message ”ruoka-apu” or ”food donations” to participate in our dog food collection or ”talli” or ”Donas stables” to help build a new shelter for Dona and Daria, your donation will be directed for the right purpose.
