On Wednesday evening I talked almost an hour with Patricia on the phone.
I have been very concerned of her healthy because Patricia had recently
pneumonia. She caught still very badly, but told me that she feels much
better now.
There have
occurred many poisonings of dogs in Tg-Jiu and police is trying to
solve them the best they can. Many corpses of dogs has been brought to
be analysed and specialists try to find out what kind of poison has
been used. This kind of things are very serious, not only because of
the very painful and cruel dead for dogs but also a possibility that
children and other people get in touch with poison and will get ill or
even die.
Police has
visited Carmena’s and Patricias home several time because their
neighbours have been complained of their dogs, as well the dogs at
their home as the dogs living across the street. Unfortunately there
will always be persons who do not like animals and they can’t grin even
their existence. Police have been very polite when visiting Carmena and
Patricia and no actions has been made against the dogs.
The temporary expansion for the actual shelter is progressing step by
step. The expanded part will serve the Neuter & Release programme
until the new shelter has been built.
We will send soon 3.500 euros to Pro Animals Romania and 1.000 is
targeted to the costs of N&R programme. That is not enough at all
but we try to collect funds also for this very important project best
we can.
I have added some
documents to PAFi’s homepages concerning the new shelter project. I
made a brutish draft of the shelter area trying to make it a little bit
more concrete. Of course experts will complete the shelter project,
hopefully very soon. Patricia told me that at this time of the year
architects and designers are unfortunately very busy.
The
weather has been very different in Tg-Jiu this year compared to the
last year when there was half an meter of snow and ice everywhere. You
might remember those photos of last winter.
