Cooperation projects

Even though Tg-Jiu shelter suffers from a constant lack of resources PAFi and Pro Animals Romania have found it important to start different kinds of cooperation projects. With these projects we wish to promote awareness of animal rights among the local people as well as show what the friendship and coexistence between humans and animals could be at its best.

Our emphasis has been in particular on neutering. Neutering is an essential way when it comes to reducing permanently the number of stray dogs. By our projects we wish to improve the living conditions of animals and respect for them as well as developing the welfare of the local community.

Our first cooperation project was a neutering campaign in August 2006.

Our current cooperation projects:

1. Securing the welfare of the homeless dogs of the current shelter by e.g. goddog programme.

2. Giving environmental education to children and young people in Tg-Jiu.

3. Visiting e.g. the elderly people during the therapy dog programme.

4. Supporting the building of the new shelter with decent facilities.
