Help victims of animal cruelty

There are always people whose life is twisted and they express it with horrible ways. Carmena and Patricia are constantly forced to encounter cases involving animal abuse that they must react to immediately. Since the new animal protection law in Romania, Carmena has received a multiple number of reports of animal abuse and abandonment compared to how things were before the renewed law.

Pro Animals Romania is the only animal protection association in the whole Gorj province. The work load they have in supervising offences is unreasonable since Pro Animals Romania isn’t able to give out punishments. They just have to check every report they get and report back to supervising authorities which means the police and the local health officers. The citizens could report of animal abuse straight to the supervising authorities but the people still don’t trust much the authorities in Romania. Usually those animals, especially dogs, that have received medical care are left to be taken care of by Carmena and Patricia. Pro Animals Romania covers all the costs of the medical care such as laboratory examinations of the poisoned dogs and so on.

Here are some pictures of animal abuse done to dogs. Some of the photos may be shocking.

There are also plenty of dogs living on the streets in a very bad shape without any care or love and those dogs must be helped, too, whenever possible.

It is not only the stray dogs in Romania that have to suffer from cruel fate. Too often horses have to suffer too since a loyal servant of many years is abandoned and left to die alone as it gets old and sick. The horses are collected from the streets to places where they can be kept for weeks without any care in a cramped space. After having waited for some time in those miserable conditions the horses are taken to be slaughtered. Pictures of horse keeping in Tg-Jiu

Animal Protection Bank is for collecting funds for Pro Animals Romania to help the victims of animal abuse and to promote giving punishments for the wrongdoers.

Pro Animals Romania has also tried to take care of the sick and injured dogs in Tg-Jiu city shelter beside the 400 dogs in their own shelter.

You can make a donation for e.g. to cover the costs of animals' medical care and medications to Pro Animals Finland registered association’s account 504506-291815. Attach a message "animal protection bank" or "eläinsuojelupankki" and the donation will be forwarded for the right purpose.

We send support to Pro Animals Romania every month and to those funds we will enclose also funds from the animal protection bank.

Let's help together!
